Chapter 30-A Piece of Peace, Friends in my Heart, and Byte Striking
           "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Sora hasn't even handed Kairi a Keyblade yet."
"Life's not fair, if you haven't noticed."

-Gummi Ship-
"You have got to be kidding me," Sora muttered as he skimmed through the messages (most of which were Cid complaining about Merlin's magic messing with his weapons).
"What?" Kairi asked, leaning over his shoulder.
"We were just at Hollow Bastion," Sora said, gesturing to the screen.  "But now we've got a distress signal from there.  What could have possibly gone wrong since we left?"
"Could it have anything to do with Cid's cannon?" Kairi asked, noticing one of Cid's complaints.
"No, that's the thing, the distress signal didn't come from the Restoration Committee, it came from…" Sora squinted, trying to see the signature stamp.
"Oh my goodness!" he exclaimed.  "It came from Tron!"
"Who?" Riku asked.
"Tron's my friend from Space Paranoids," Sora explained.  "I ran into him when I accidentally got sucked into Ansem's computer."
"Right, and how do you suppose we get into Ansem's computer?" Axel asked.  "We're not exactly welcomed guests at Hollow Bastion.  I doubt we can even get to Ansem's study, much less into his password-protected computer."
"Well, I think I can land us in the computer room," Sora said.  "Since we just visited there recently.  Then it'd just be a matter of finding Vexen Alpha again.  He said he could get us into the computer."
Axel frowned.
"Why are you being so apprehensive about this?" Riku asked.
"Oh, I don't know," Axel said sarcastically.  "It's not like we're risking our lives or anything."
"And this is different from any other place we go, how?" Kairi asked.
Axel didn't have a response.
"It's not like we have any distress signals from anyone else," Sora said.  "Well, we've got one from Cid, but I don't think it's as urgent as he makes it sound, since he's marked Merlin as our target enemy."
Riku and Kairi laughed.
"What's that?" Kairi asked, pointing to another distress signal.
"That's from someplace I can't see," Sora said.  "Not until we get another Navi-G installed."
"A what?" Axel asked.
"Navigation Gummi," Sora explained.  "It allows us to go places we haven't gone before.  And just take a guess where the only place is I can get one installed."
"Hollow Bastion," Axel muttered.
"Yup."
"I get the feeling Cid's not just going to randomly install a Gummi Block though," Riku said.  "Especially one that sounds so special."
"He won't be providing it," Sora said, digging in his pocket.  "Found this in Neverland."
He showed them all the little bluish-yellow Gummi Block.
"Cid should install it for free, if not, I'm sure we've got the spare munny to pay him."
"Do you think our wallets are limitless?" Riku said, pulling his out and checking it.
"Have you seen how much munny enemies drop?" Sora retorted.
"Guys, how about we just stop arguing about this and go see if we can get into Ansem's computer," Kairi reasoned.  "If that fails, then we can just fight our way out of there and go get the Navi-G installed on the Gummi Ship, and maybe prevent Cid from murdering Merlin while we're at it."
"Sounds good to me," Sora said.
"Right then," Riku said, standing up.  "If we're going back to Hollow Bastion, I'm driving."
Sora opened his mouth to argue, but decided it wasn't worth it this time.  He got up out of the seat and offered it to Riku.  Then he and Kairi took their seats in the back.  Kairi pulled out her sketchbook and Sora pulled out his Keyblade with the intent of polishing it—as if it needed polishing.
"Back to Hollow Bastion we go," Riku said, firing up the ship.
"Hey, Namine," Roxas called out.
"Hmm?" Namine responded.
If Roxas didn't know any better, he could have sworn Namine sounded sleepy.
"You've been quiet lately."
"I'm just a little tired, that's all."

"You tired?" Roxas scoffed.  "Never."
"You'd be tired too if you did what I did."
"And what was that?"
"Separate myself from Kairi and use a light-attack on the Xehanort Replica."
"Whoa! Kairi kept saying you helped out, but I didn't realize it was
that much!"
Namine laughed.  "I didn't even know that what I did was possible… until I did it."
"Well, if anyone would figure something like that out, it would be you."
"Um… thanks.  I'm flattered."

If Roxas could have, he would have shrugged.
"I'm not the one you wish was complimenting you, am I?"
he asked.
"What… what do you mean?"
"Don't give me that,"
Roxas said with a laugh. "I'm not dumb.  You like him, don't you?"
"I don't know what you're talking about,"
Namine stated defiantly.
They were silent for a bit.
"Please don't tell me you've fallen for me,"
Namine said quietly.
Roxas laughed. "Yeah, right.  No offense… but no."
Namine actually breathed a sigh of relief.
I'm not bringing Xion back for nothing then, she thought to herself.  Then she hoped Roxas couldn't hear that thought.
"Are Roxas and Namine arguing again?" Sora asked, looking over at Kairi.
Kairi paused for a minute, listening.  "No, not an argument.  They're kind of just teasing I think.  Something about Xion…" She frowned.  "I couldn't catch much past that."
"But they are talking?" Sora asked.
Kairi nodded.
"Kay, I was wondering what that buzzing was in my head."
Kairi laughed and looked down at the picture she had just drawn.  Oddly enough, it was a picture of just Riku.  She didn't draw just Riku very often.  In fact, hardly ever.
Namine, she thought. What is on your mind?
I don't know what you're talking about,
Namine responded.
Kairi raised an eyebrow and turned the page of the sketchbook.

-Ansem's Computer Room-
"Well, we're here, now what?" Axel was saying.
"Where's a Vexen Replica when you need them?" Sora asked.

Roxas got a tad bit dizzy from Sora looking around the room.  Sora's line of sight finally settled on Ansem's computer.
Roxas frowned at it.  He had never been very good with computers.  Though, he had smashed that one of DiZ's for completely different reasons aside from his ineptitude.
Xion had been good with computers…
She had once snuck into Castle Oblivion and looked up loads of information on herself and other Replicas… she had hacked through Vexen's passwords rather easily…
'Wait', Roxas thought to himself.  'How do I know that?'
"You did absorb Xion," Namine answered.  "You absorbed her memories as well?"
"Wait, so Xion's inside of me?"
"More or less," Namine said.
"Do you hear all of my thoughts?" Roxas asked.
"When you and I are on the same level of consciousness, yes," Namine responded.
"I'm going to pretend that makes sense," Roxas muttered.  "What about Sora and Kairi?"
"I can hear Sora when he's on the same level of consciousness as I am, which isn't frequent because he's always awake it seems.  And he's usually hyper too, which is a completely different level of consciousness."
"Maybe that's why he and I hardly ever talk…" Roxas muttered.
"You'd have to project very strongly," Namine said.  "I don't know why he's so hyper, that's just Sora for you."
"Can you hear other people's thoughts?" Roxas asked.
"As in, their consciousness?"
"Yeah, that.  Can you hear Riku and Axel like you hear me?"
"No one knows what's going on in Axel's head," Namine muttered.
Roxas waited for her to answer about Riku, but none came immediately.
"What about Riku?" Roxas prompted.
"I wish I could get into his head…" Namine muttered.
Roxas snorted.
"Well, if you'll excuse me," Roxas said.  "I think I'm going to go back to sleep.  It's always so peaceful…"
Namine frowned, wondering what that meant.  She couldn't remember anything from when she dreamt and she doubted Roxas would be able to.  But he could obviously remember enough to know that it was peaceful.
Namine thus began thinking of reasons why Roxas would find sleep so peaceful.
"You are thinking very hard," Kairi said.
"Sorry," Namine apologized. "Am I giving you a headache?"
"No more than Sora speaking with Vexen Replica Pi."

Namine took a moment to focus through Kairi's eyes, sure enough, there was a Vexen Replica standing there, talking to Sora, Riku and Axel.
"Right," Namine said.
"What are you thinking about, anyway?" Kairi asked.
"Roxas just told me that he likes to sleep because it's peaceful, and I'm wondering why.  Perhaps it has something to do with what goes on at that level of consciousness…"
"What if it has something to do with Xion?"
Kairi asked.
Namine frowned, mostly because she hadn't thought of that herself. "I suppose that could be it.  Maybe… maybe Xion's highest thought processes are at that level… she's somewhere deep inside Sora and Roxas' heart."
"Makes sense to me,"
Kairi said.  "If I were in Roxas' position, and that was the only way I could talk to Sora, I would sleep all the time."
"I wonder if I could speak with her,"
Namine wondered.
"Wouldn't you have to be asleep?"
"Yes… and then I'd have to be able to remember it…"
"That I can't help you with."

'If I get the chance,' Namine thought to herself.  'I am looking up ways to lucid dream, maybe that would do the trick.'

"Where's a Vexen Replica when you need them?" Sora had asked.
"I dunno," Axel replied, shaking his head.  "They're usually always around when you don't want them to be."
Riku's nostrils flared.  "Someone's coming?"
"Good or bad?" Sora asked.
"Smells like Vexen," Riku said.  "But I can't tell if he's a replica or not…"
"Can I be of assistance?" said a person as he walked around the corner.
"That's a Vexen Replica," Axel said.  "Vexen wouldn't greet us so politely."
"Alpha?" Sora asked.
The replica laughed.  "No, no.  I am Vexen Replica Pi and I'm here to help you."
"Can you get us into the computer?" Sora asked.
"Of course I can," Pi responded.  "Anything else?"
"Nope," Sora responded.  "Just tell Vexen we said hi."
"I'm afraid that won't be possible," Pi said sadly.
"What happened to him?" Riku asked.
"Oh, he's gone."
"Gone how?" Kairi asked.
"I'm afraid I am not at liberty to say," Pi answered.
"Whatever," Axel said.  "So long as he's not here anymore.  Say, did he leave before or after the completion of all the Xehanort Replicas?"
"All of the Xehanort Replicas were completed.  Two are currently active, one is still in a temporary stasis.  The other three have been destroyed."
"You don't sound too sad about that," Riku said.
"Normally, I would find the destruction of a fellow replica a very sad thing, however, given the behaviors of the Xehanort Replicas towards you, I do feel that destruction was the best option.  Vexen Beta keeps saying we should disable the other three, but Omega keeps negating the idea."
"Right," Axel said, stopping the replica.  "Can you get us into the computer?"
"Of course! Of course!" Pi said, walking over.  "Now I just have to remember what password we're currently on.  Xehanort keeps insisting we change it…"
After a few keystrokes, they were in.
"Will that be all?" Pi asked.
"Yup!" Sora said.
"Just don't let anyone know we've been here, okay?" Riku said.
"That is perfectly with in my programming to grant," Pi said, bowing his head a little.  "I wish you all the best of luck!"
"Thanks!" Sora said.
He went over to the computer and pulled up the Space Paranoids program.
"Everybody ready?" he asked.
"Sure," Axel said.
"As ready as I'll ever be," Riku said with a shrug.
"Kairi?" Sora asked.
"Hmm?" Kairi said, looking over at him.  She appeared to have been lost in thought.
"Ready?"
"Oh, yeah!"
"Here goes!" Sora said, pressing the space bar.
A camera from behind them shone a light on them and they disappeared into the computer program.

Roxas found himself jolted awake by the sudden change in matter.  He looked about him through Sora's eyes.  Everyone had changed clothes it seemed.  Kairi was now wearing a dress and gloves in addition to her boots, though she had electric blue lights running through her clothing.  Riku was back to wearing his vest and jeans—both of which also had blue lights running through them.  Axel's appearance seemed mostly unchanged, save for the reddish-blue lights running through his cloak.  Roxas couldn't tell if Sora's appearance had changed or not, but he appeared to be seeing things through a visor, so he could figure as much.
'I wonder what I would look like if I came through here,' he wondered.  'Would I be like Axel and have a cloak? Or would I take on more of the outfit that Riku's got?'
He also wondered what Xion would look like.  He figured she'd probably just have a light-infused cloak.
Come to think of it, Roxas had never seen Xion wear anything but an Organization cloak.
"Do you like sleeping?" Namine asked.
"That's random," Roxas said, laughing a little.
"Do you though?" Namine asked.
"I guess so, I don't know," Roxas said, fumbling for an answer.  "It makes me feel happy, I guess."
Namine reiterated her mental note to try sleeping and then remembering it.  Maybe Xion's consciousness was down there somewhere.
"Try sleeping while I'm awake," Kairi suggested.
"What good do you think that would do?" Namine asked.
"I'm not sure, just seemed like something you could try."
"Perhaps I'll try that now, if you don't mind…"
"I don't mind,"
Kairi said.  "I suppose I could try and wake you if anything important happens."
"Alright,"
Namine said, smiling.
With that, Namine quieted down and tried to fall asleep.
'Sometimes, I wonder what she's up to,' Kairi thought.

"Hey!" Sora shouted, dragging Kairi out of her own head.  "There's a face I recognize!"
"Sora!" the man named Tron responded.
"I got your message," Sora said.  "What's going on? Is the MCP causing trouble again?"
"No," Tron said sadly.  "It's a different Program, one called CLU."
"It's like replica-speak," Axel muttered.
"What's CLU doing?" Sora asked.
"He wants to destroy the ISOs," Tron said sadly.
"What are ISOs?" Kairi asked.
"They're Programs that formed in the system without any prompting.  They have the potential to lead to technical advances beyond our understanding if they're Data could just be copied.  However, when User Saix heard about them, he deemed them imperfections and created the Program CLU to destroy them.  CLU is trying to get me to help him destroy them, but I refuse because that would be against what my Creator wanted."
"It is like hearing replicas talk," Axel mused.
"What do you need us to do?" Sora asked.
Here we go again, Riku thought. Plunging into help someone with no second-thoughts…
"Perhaps if we could simply capture CLU and rewrite him," Tron suggested.  "I would feel bad if we had to resort to Deleting him."
"Worth a shot," Sora said with a shrug.  "Anything to help a friend."
Tron smiled.
"Where can we find CLU?" Riku asked.
"This way," Tron said, running off and gesturing that they all follow him.
Sora, Kairi, Riku and Axel all took off after him, however they had to stop frequently to destroy Unversed bugs.

Meanwhile, Namine found herself drifting to sleep.  She had never tried to fall asleep when Kairi was still awake.  Granted, there was that one time after attacking the Xehanort Replica with a light-attack.  But she hadn't tried to fall asleep then, she had more or less just passed out from exhaustion.
She couldn't remember a dream from that occasion, but she could have very easily not dreamed there due to the aforementioned exhaustion.
She found herself in Twilight Town, standing at the base of the Clocktower.
"Huh," she mused.  "I wonder if I will remember this when I wake up…"
She walked into the station and made her way to the top of the Clocktower.  She wasn't sure why she was doing this, but it seemed like the most logical thing to do.  When she got up to the top, she slowed, wondering what she'd find at the front.  She peered around the corner and her eyes widened when she saw none other than Xion.
Xion sat on the edge, looking out to the sunset, eating sea-salt ice-cream.  She was completely caught up in her eating that she didn't notice Namine come up behind her.
Namine cleared her throat.  Xion spun around.  Her eyes grew wide.
"Namine!" she exclaimed.  "I haven't seen you here in a while."
"Have I," Namine began, slightly confused.  "Been here before?"
"It's been a while," Xion said with a shrug.  "You probably wouldn't remember it.  Roxas took forever to start remembering his visits here."
"Does Roxas visit often then?" Namine asked.
"Oh, all the time!" Xion said, her face completely lighting up.  "He would forget that we had talked for the longest time, but eventually he started remembering.  It's really nice of him to come visit me.  Here, sit down." she said, patting the spot next to her.
Namine went over and sat down next to Xion.  Xion produced another sea-salt ice-cream and handed it to Namine, who took it and began licking it.  It took her a second to get accustomed to the flavor, but it was still good.
"Roxas mentions you every now and then," Xion said, off-handedly.
"Really now?" Namine asked.
"He says you tease him about always being asleep."
"I can see why he is though, now," Namine said quietly.
"Does he speak of me?" Xion asked.
Namine frowned.  "I'm afraid not.  Roxas never remembers his trips here.  I don't even know if I'll remember this.  I can't remember ever being here before."
"You're special," Xion said.  "I'm sure if you tried hard enough, you could remember."
"What makes me special?" Namine asked.
"You remembered me, didn't you?" Xion argued.  "You consciously remembered me, that's more than anyone else can say.  You're getting others to remember me too, even.  That's pretty special in my book."
Namine smiled.
"What do you think about me trying to bring you back?" Namine asked.  "Like, physically back?"
Xion didn't answer right away, she was trying to eat her ice cream before it melted.  When she was done rescuing her ice cream, she looked at Namine, her face a mixture of complex emotions.
"I think it's a steep goal to achieve," she replied.  "But if anyone can do it, I'm sure it's you."
"You have a lot of faith in me," Namine said, laughing slightly in a bit of disbelief.
"You've done quite a bit to give me that faith," Xion said.  "You took care of Roxas as best you could.  And Axel always spoke highly of you—in his own way, mind you.  But this is Axel we're talking about."
"When did Axel ever get the chance to speak highly of me?" Namine asked.
"He used to come here too, with me and Roxas.  It's been a while since he's done that.  Roxas figures it has something to do with the fact that Axel's a Somebody now.  He says that we haven't spoken to Axel here since before you all ran into him in Twilight Town—the other Twilight Town—the real Twilight Town."
"That would make sense," Namine said.  "Roxas can be pretty smart when he puts his mind to it."
Xion smiled.  "He is, isn't he?"
Then, as if out of habit, she turned to look behind her, to see if anyone else was coming.  When no one came, she turned back to Namine with a slightly disappointed sigh.
"Sorry," she said, laughing nervously.  "I just… I look for him.  I'm sure he does the same for me when he gets here first."
"Do you always meet here?" Namine asked.
Xion nodded.  "It's where our hearts find our homes.  Roxas comes here in his dreams, and I make my way here when I'm awake.  This is where we meet."
"I wonder where it is that I go when I dream," Namine wondered.
"Probably where your heart finds its home," Xion said.
Namine almost laughed, it was rare when people actually talked about her, of all people, having a heart.  But, arguably, she had something of a heart.
"I don't exactly know where that is though," Namine muttered.
"Where did you spend your time?"
"The Haunted Mansion not too far from here," Namine said, pointing in the direction of the abandoned mansion.  "Not that all of that time was enjoyable though."
Xion shrugged. "I don't really know then.  What did you enjoy doing? Or enjoy spending your time?"
"I enjoyed drawing," Namine replied.  "I enjoy drawing," she corrected herself.  "I like being with Kairi, and Sora, and… Riku—even though they mean something different to me than I do to them."
"Where do you want to be?" Xion asked.
Namine didn't have an answer for that.  Not an answer that she could formulate into words.  The only things that came to her head were pictures.  She wished she had her sketchbook…
Both of them turned when they heard footsteps.  Roxas appeared around the corner, holding his own ice-cream in one hand, and Namine's sketchbook in the other.
"That makes more sense," he said when he laid eyes on Namine.  "It's not often we see you here—and by that I mean: we hardly ever see you here.  You've come up here, what? Once or twice?"
"Sounds about right," Xion said with a shrug.
Roxas handed Namine her sketchbook.
"How did you end up with this?" she asked.
"This is sort of a dream, isn't it?" he responded.
Namine shrugged and scooted over so that Roxas could sit in between the two girls.
"Does anybody have a pencil?" she asked.
"I've got a pen," Xion said, fishing in her pocket for one.
Namine reached over to grab the metallic purple pen that Xion was handing her.
"In answer to your question," she said, looking at Xion.  "Give me a second.  I think in pictures."
"Go for it," Xion said.  "Take all the time you need."
"In answer to your earlier question," Roxas said, looking at Namine.  "I suppose this is why I enjoy sleeping so much.  Xion's here.  Though, I like joking around with Axel too when I'm awake."
"I wish Axel could still come here," Xion said with a frown.
Roxas sighed.  "Yeah, me too."
"Question," Namine said, not even looking up from the picture she was frantically sketching out.  "Where do you go when you're asleep, Xion?"
Xion frowned.  "I honestly don't know," she answered after a bit.  "I can't remember.  I just know that sometimes, I wake up and I'm sad.  I feel that there's something I need to do, but when I wake up, I can never remember what it is.  I don't tend to think about it much."
"Interesting," Namine said, still scribbling out a picture.
"I wonder if you're making Kairi itch to draw," Roxas said, laughing a little.
"I wouldn't know," Namine said.  "You were awake longer than I was, what was going on out there?"
"Oh, they ran into some Programs that tried to stop them," Roxas said.  "They were working under CLU, I guess.  They seemed to have things under control.  Sora hasn't even handed Kairi a Keyblade yet."
"Programs?" Xion asked.
"There's this world called Hollow Bastion," Roxas explained.  "And in that world, there's this computer that you can go into.  That's where they all are."
"Sounds interesting," Xion said.
"This is where I want to be," Namine whispered, looking at the rough sketch.
It was of herself, standing in between Kairi and Xion.  But around them stood Riku, Sora, Roxas and Axel.  They were all on Destiny Islands—even though Namine had never been to the real one, only the one fabricated in Castle Oblivion.  Though, she had seen Destiny Islands thousands of times inside Sora's and Kairi's memories.  And she had seen it through Kairi.
"Do you think that'll ever happen?" Roxas asked, looking over at the picture.
"Honestly, I hope so," Namine said with a smile.
Roxas form flickered.
"Really," he muttered.  "I haven't even finished my ice cream yet!"
"What is it?" Xion asked, cocking her head to one side.
"Axel's shouting," Roxas said with a frown.  "I can't pinpoint what it's about though…"
His form disappeared.
"What just happened?" Namine asked, looking up.
"He woke up," Xion said simply.  "According to him, Axel's voice reaches down the farthest to him and calls him to be awake.  Sometimes, some of the things that Sora talks about wakes him up too."
Namine could pretty much figure that 'some of the things that Sora talks about' equated to 'Sora thinking about Xion in some way'.
"I feel kind of bad for him," Xion said.  "Being torn between Axel and me.  I mean, he and Axel are best friends, so I can't blame him.  But Roxas and I… we're best friends too!"
"I promise I will fix this somehow," Namine said, staring back down at her sketchbook.
Namine's form began to flicker.
"What's calling you?" Xion asked.
"Kairi," Namine responded.  "She said she'd wake me if something important happened."
"Roxas did say Axel was shouting," Xion said.
"True," Namine responded.  "I have one last question for you, before I go."
"Yeah?"
"Do you want to come back?"
Xion nodded emphatically.  "With all of my heart.  Or being… or whatever…"
"I get your meaning," Namine said, smiling.
Xion smiled too.
With that, Namine found herself waking up in the back of Kairi's brain.

She was a bit groggy at first.  Then she tried to remember what she had just done.  Xion had said that she wanted to come back…
"Where do you want to be…?"
Where does the heart go?

Once Namine was sure that she could come back and sort through that glob of memories, she let her consciousness take in what was going on around her.  Sora and Riku both had their Keyblades bared.  Sora looked angry, but Axel sounded angrier.  Riku was (as usual) completely unreadable, though Kairi was detecting a bit of disgust.
"What did I miss?" Namine asked.
"There's been a lot of insulting…" Kairi said. "About things that CLU doesn't think matter but we all think does."
"Like?"
"Let's just say that Nobodies and Replicas are low on the list."
"That explains why Axel's mad…"
Namine said. "Why is Sora mad?"
"Oh, CLU said I didn't have the makings of a true Keyblade wielder.  I don't particularly care, but Sora does.  Oh, and CLU's captured Tron."

At those words, Kairi looked over to where Tron was standing in a cage made out of data.  Namine frowned.
"Let Tron go, CLU," Sora tried to reason.
Kairi looked over at CLU and Namine could see that he was dressed in a cloak like Axel, but the lights in his cloak were not blue, but a rather menacing orange.
"That isn't an option," CLU said.  "Tron has gone against what we were created for.  We are here to make this place perfection, and the ISO's are imperfections."
"Saix so programmed you," Axel spat.  "He didn't like mistakes, he wrote them off as worthless before even giving them a chance!"
It's no wonder Roxas woke up, Namine mused.
"Tron must be derezzed," CLU stated. "And if you don't back down, you'll be derezzed as well!"
"They're users!" Tron exclaimed from his prison.  "You can't!"
"Then I will find a more suitable punishment for them," CLU said, summoning a spear-like weapon.
"We'll fight you," Sora said.  "We don't have a problem with that."
"I'm not going to fight you," CLU said, hefting the spear.
"Then what's the spear for?" Riku asked.
CLU turned, and rammed the spear through Tron's chest.
"No!" Sora screamed.
"He won't die," CLU spat.  "And I refuse to delete him.  His data will merely be rewritten so that he sees things like I do.  Then we will both get rid of the ISOs!"
"You're wrong," Tron coughed.  "I will never… join you…"
"Then I will kill you friends off one-by-one," CLU stated simply.
A wave of grief passed over Tron and he looked down.  "Run," he said softly.  "Run now while you still have the chance.  Run and lock the program behind you.  CLU cannot leave here—he cannot stand imperfection.  Just run!"
He fainted.
"No!" Sora shouted.  "There has to be something we can do!"
He started to charge at CLU, but Riku and Axel both held him back.
"There's nothing you can do about this one, man," Axel said.
"Come on, Sora," Riku said.  "We have to do what he said."
"No…" Sora mumbled.
"I will make this place perfect!" CLU shouted.  "And when I am done here, I will leave this place and make all worlds perfect!"
"You're not getting out of here," Riku spat.  "Not after me and Sora have locked it up tight."
"We shall see," CLU said.
Riku snorted.  "Fat chance.  Come on, let's go."
Sora blinked his eyes closed, and nodded.  He held up his Keyblade and opened a door above them.  The four of them disappeared in a flash of light and reappeared just outside Ansem's computer.  Riku locked it behind them, Sora helping to make the lock stay better.
"Now what?" Kairi asked quietly.
"This can't be happening," Sora said, putting his face in his hands.  "We can't have just lost Tron."
"Unfortunately, buddy, we did," Axel said.  "But he went down to ensure our safety."
Sora sighed.  "It's not fair."
"Life's not fair, if you haven't noticed," Axel argued.  "Now are we going to stand in here having a pity party? Or are we going to get the heck out before a Xehanort Replica or Saix shows up?"
"Let's head to Leon's," Kairi suggested.  "We could use a break."
"Yeah," Sora agreed.  "That sounds good."
Okay, so sorry if the different levels of consciousness were confusing. They make sense in my head, but that's because all of them just talk like that in my head. So... yeah. I can post what said levels of consciousness are, if you'd like :)

Anywho, Xion surprised me with that little meeting. Never really expected it. Not at all. Never even intended it. But hey, I'll go with it.

Very interesting... You're really digging into this 'dream'-thing, and it actually makes good sense. Plus, KH 3D stands for "Dream, Drop, Distance" so it's possible that after "hearts" and "memories" they game creators are now focusing on "dreams".
